Equipment Records created with within EZ-MES are always in one of the 6 basic states as defined in SEMI E10: Productive, Engineering, Standby, Unscheduled Down, Scheduled Down and Non-Scheduled Time. An additional state 'Scrapped' (not an SEMI E10 state) is added for equipment that is taken out of service.
Equipment State Values
Equipment States can have one of the following values:
- Standby:
Equipment has to be in the Standby state before it can be used for run flows.
- Productive:
When equipment is used on run flows, the state of the equipment will automatically change from Standby to Productive when the Operator starts the job.
- Engineering:
When equipment is not in production and being worked on by engineering e.g. re-tooling in between jobs
- Scheduled Down:
Equipment is not in production and is taken offline for a scheduled period e.g. scheduled maintenance or recalibration
- Unscheduled Down:
Equipment is not in production and is taken offline for an unscheduled period e.g. repair
- Non-Scheduled Time:
Equipment is not in production and is taken offline for non-scheduled down time e.g. part recall or emergency order
- Scrapped:
Equipment is permanently taken offline e.g. upgrade replacement or terminal equipment failure
