Configure the Part Definitions/Bill of Materials

Initial work on implementing EZ-MES to your own specific needs can be addressed initially by entering all the Bill of Materials required for all products. The Bill of Materials requires some analysis to identify which parts are discrete and non-discrete. Furthermore how one handles all the individual parts must be considered e.g. do some parts require specific quality inspection procedures, serialization and assignment or do some parts require different units to properly manage inventory.

• Do you wish to manage access rights for individuals or user groups within EZ-MES? (For example provide access to certain equipment or process steps only for certified/trained operators)
• Do you wish to track inventory levels (RMI, FGI and Ordered parts)?
• Do you wish to create Purchase Orders and handle RMAs using EZ-MES?
• Do you wish to track your equipment and have records of what was processed by that equipment?
  • Do you wish to manage preventive maintenance for equipment using EZ-MES?
  • Do you wish EZ-MES to communicate directly with the hardware?
• Do you wish EZ-MES to provide comprehensive instructions for operators?
• Do you wish to collect different types of custom data for different process steps?
• Do you wish to perform quality checks on collected data (e.g. compare to product specifications or perform SPC analysis on the data being collected)?
  • Do you wish EZ-MES to provide automatic notification or actions if something fails quality control?
