- The vendor combo numbers are recorded.
- The combos are serialized using an internal serial number with a set syntax.
- The weight of the combos, as reported by the vendor, is recorded.
- The combos are weighed and the weighed value is used for further processing (not the vendors weight).
- The difference in weight is calculated, and when the difference, between vendor weight and measured weight, is larger than 25 LB the combo is placed on hold.
- If the difference is within spec the combos are placed into Raw Material Inventory (RMI).
Design of the Flow Definition
Because there are a number of operactions that have to be performed, a receive Flow Definition is created to mirror this receiving process (For simple receiving process the Adjust Inventory Form can be used). The following figures show the different aspects of the Flow Design:
- Flow Input and State of Parts During and at the end of the Flow
Learn more on how to configure Inputs and learn about states...
- Definition and Sequence of Operations
Learn how to define Step Definition and how to add them to the Flow Definition...
- Input Constraints, and Conversions during Flow
- Definition of the user entries
