The following describes step by step how to create a new Traveler.
To create new Travelers, take the following steps:
- From the Main Desktop area, click the Traveler icon.
- Click the 'Create a New Part Traveler' icon.
After the icon is clicked a traveler form will open.
With the new Traveler form open you now need to do the following:
- Select the appropriate Flow Definition for the Part Traveler being used.
- Choose the requested Part Definition from the pull-down.
- Give the quantity of parts that will be created or attached to this Traveler.
- Optionally, you can add the Work Order that is initiation this Traveler.
- Optionally, you can also input any general notes for your new Traveler. They will be visible to operators.
The Traveler is now created and is in the Active State. Operators will be able to see the travelers that are in the active state, and know that this traveler needs to start moving.
Note: Any pull down within EZ-MES is using Intellisense. So if there are too many items, just start typing in the input field and the number of Items will be filtered.
