In order to change desktop icons you first need access to the IIS server hosting your application. This is generally easier to do if you host the application internally.
Once on the application server, navigate to the application root directory. For instance, 'C:\ApplicationRootDirectory'. From this root directory you will see a subfolder named 'ImageUser'.
This ImageUser folder contains a list of 29 custom icons that are available to use as is, or for replacement. If you replace the icon you should use the same filename so that the CSS can grab it properly.
This is a sample of how the icons look as is

Changing Class Value
As mentioned previously, you will have to refer to the CSS value to display the appropriate icon. The CSS Values are the same as the filename, i.e. Custom01, Custom02, Custom03... Custom29.
- To change the class of an item perform the following steps.
- Open Application Settings icon
- System Management icon
- Select Menu Group Tab, and open the Menu Group needed for edit
- Select the Menu Item for edit
- Change the value of the Class Name.
The image below demonstrates that I have added a new Menu Item (icon) to the Desktop.
