The Spec Definition Form is a Forms where Spec Definitions can be created.

The Form has the following key fields:

• Spec Name: Unique name for the Spec Definition.
• Data Type: The type you want to assign to to this Spec Definition.
• Short Description: Explanation of this Spec Definition.
• Category: To select the Categorie you want to use.

Spec Definitions can be used to assign Spec Values to Part Definitions. These Spec Values can be used to cross check with actual values that the user inputs using Configurable Name Value Pairs. In this way you can use Spec Definitions and NV - Data Entries to automate Quality Assurance. Therefore also the Part Definition Form has the possibility to directly edit the Spec Definition in the Spec Definition Value Tab.
